We Just Made This Beautiful Accoya Timber Door – Here’s Why Our Customers Love Them
Just finished this project in our workshop and had to share! This Accoya timber door with its 4-panel design and divided glass section is one of our most popular styles. We make these by hand for homes across Hertfordshire, London, and Essex.

Why Accoya Is Our Go-To Timber for Custom Doors
We’ve been making doors for years, and honestly, nothing beats Accoya timber for quality. What makes it special? The wood goes through this process called acetylation (fancy word, I know!) that makes it incredibly stable. That means no warping or sticking even when the British weather does its thing.
The white finish on this door looks simple but was actually quite tricky to get just right. The glass panels let in loads of light while the solid bottom half keeps things private – perfect balance for most homes we work with in London and the surrounding areas.

Real Benefits You’ll Notice with an Accoya Door
Our customers in Hertfordshire tell us what they love most about these doors:
- They last forever (well, 50+ years at least)
- You won’t be repainting every couple of years like with regular wood
- They keep the heat in during those cold Essex winters
- They look great on period homes AND new builds
- The wood comes from sustainable, responsibly managed forests
We made this particular door for a Victorian terrace in Hertfordshire, but we’ve fitted similar styles everywhere from modern apartments in central London to country cottages in Essex.
